Educational purpose
The information on letsbelonghere.com and in Belong's general resources, workshops, circles, courses, and communications is offered for education, reflection, and general well-being. It is not individualized assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice.
Belong creates facilitated spaces for reflection and shared learning. Participation does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, lawyer-client, fiduciary, or other regulated professional relationship.
Not medical, mental-health, or other professional advice
Mindfulness and community practices can support well-being, but they are not substitutes for medical care, psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric care, or other treatment from a qualified professional. Belong does not diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure any physical or mental-health condition.
Content may also touch on life decisions, work, relationships, or personal development. It is not legal, financial, employment, nutritional, or other licensed professional advice. Consult an appropriately qualified professional about your circumstances and do not delay seeking care because of something you read, hear, or experience through Belong.
Emergencies and crisis support
Belong is not a crisis or emergency service and does not monitor messages continuously.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical support in Canada, call 9-1-1. If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, call or text 9-8-8 for support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you are outside Canada, contact your local emergency number or a crisis service in your location. More Canadian resources are available through the Government of Canada's mental-health support page.
Personal responsibility and safe participation
You are responsible for deciding whether a practice or activity is appropriate for you. Pay attention to your physical and emotional limits, choose a comfortable level of participation, and stop if you feel unwell, unsafe, or overwhelmed. Seek professional guidance if you have a health condition, are receiving treatment, or are uncertain whether an activity is suitable.
Facilitators may offer general invitations or examples, but they cannot know every participant's history, needs, or environment. Online participation also requires you to choose a reasonably safe and private setting and to avoid activities that need your full attention, such as driving.
Results and individual experiences
Experiences with mindfulness, reflection, learning, mentoring, and community programs vary. We do not promise a particular personal, health, relationship, career, or organizational outcome. Examples, stories, and participant experiences illustrate individual perspectives and are not guarantees that another person will have the same result.
External resources and information
We may refer to books, research, organizations, websites, or other third-party resources for convenience. We do not control those resources and do not guarantee that they are complete, current, or suitable for you. A reference does not necessarily mean endorsement.
We make reasonable efforts to keep our own information accurate, but educational content can become outdated and may contain errors. Use your judgment and verify information that is important to a decision about your health, safety, rights, or finances.
